The Salem State University Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies is a research, educational and community center aimed at combatting racism, prejudice, antisemitism, ethnic hatred and abuse of authority—the root causes of mass violence and atrocities. Your donation to the CHGS supports our programs that reach thousands of K-12 and college students, teachers, and members of the community.

• Sonia Schreiber Weitz Lecture Series – presenting free public lectures to the community from leading international and national scholars, educators and human rights advocates.
• Teaching Difficult Topics Curriculum and Educator Workshops – providing professional development and innovative pedagogical strategies for middle and high school teachers on topics including the Holocaust and comparative genocide, immigration, civil rights, and LBGTQ history.
• Graduate Certificate in Holocaust and Genocide Studies – providing advanced graduate training for educators, community organizers and non-profit leaders who seek to lead their institutions on issues of human rights.
