Get Ready for a New Year!

2018 Salem State Freshman class gather on a greenspace on campus

In just a couple of weeks, our students will be back on campus ready to start a new year! We’re kicking things off with our First Year Day of Service on August 30, a chance for first-year students, staff, faculty, alumni and community organizations to come together for a day of service in the greater Salem area. This year, 250 students will volunteer at 25 organizations in Salem, Lynn, Beverly, Peabody, Marblehead and Danvers. There’s still time to sign-up if you’re interested!

We're excited to welcome the class of 2023!

Here’s the latest fast facts about our newest class of Vikings:

  • 1,023 incoming first-year students.
  • 94 percent are from Massachusetts.
  • 69 percent live less than 20 miles away!
  • 41 percent of students will live on campus this year.

Join us in welcoming our new Vikings. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings!
